Flow Yoga has its roots in Hatha Yoga. Flow Yoga was first introduced in the 1930s by Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, an Indian yoga teacher.
Understanding Yoga Flow
Flow yoga is a dynamic form of yoga, which often consists of sun salutations and strengthening sequences, where you as a yoga practitioner slide from one exercise to another in a flow – hence the name flow yoga.
The transition from one yoga exercise to another happens in close interaction with your breathing.
Yoga Flow gives you flexibility and energy, strengthens the muscles, balance and your ability to concentrate. You will feel how the breath and the postures merge into one.
All people can practice yoga flow, and both men and women can find joy in it.
